Job summary

Drake International Philippines in Makati City is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust security across cloud and on-prem environments. You will identify threats, enforce authentication controls, and manage incident response to protect sensitive data.

The role requires hands-on experience in security architecture, IAM, network security, and vulnerability assessment, with strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years across two security fields such as risk management, architecture or operations.
• Minimum 2 years securing data in a cyber security platform.
• CISSP certification is a plus.
• Develop security policies, manage risks, and respond to incidents.
• At least 1 year in network management and security.
• Knowledge of Linux/Windows admin and patching is a plus.
• 2+ years implementing and supporting network and security deployment.
• Knowledge of VAPT testing and CISCO/Juniper configurations.
• Strong communication and written skills.

Responsibilities

A global leader in advanced technological solutions is seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Engineer to join the team in Makati City.

Job Overview

The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for configuring and maintaining a robust security architecture across cloud and on-premise environments. This role focuses on proactively identifying cyber threats, implementing strong authentication mechanisms, and managing incident response strategies to protect sensitive data. As a key technical resource, the engineer will conduct regular security assessments, oversee network upgrades, and provide critical on-site support to ensure uninterrupted productivity for both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Configure on-premise and cloud security architectures across Windows and Linux platforms.
• Lead cybersecurity system design and manage technical documentation for stakeholder approval.
• Investigate security breaches, resolve cyber issues, and manage incident reporting.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage security patches and application upgrades.
• Execute system deployments and lead technical stability testing.
• Coordinate subcontractors and internal teams to ensure timely project execution.
• Provide on-site technical maintenance and troubleshooting for infrastructure users.
• Manage customer acceptance and facilitate knowledge transfer and training.
• Monitor system health and perform ongoing security assessments.
• Implement security upgrades independently across various server environments.
• Support project priorities by working flexible hours and traveling locally as needed.

Qualifications

• The resource possesses at least 5 years of practical experience on any 2 security fields such as security and risk management, security architecture and engineering, Identity and access management (IAM) or security operations
• At least 2 years’ experience in managing and securing data in a cyber security platform.
• Having a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification is
• considered a plus
• The resource should possess developing security policies, managing risks, responding to incidents, designing secure systems, controlling user access, and establishing security governance frameworks.
• Has at least one year experience in network management and network infrastructure security.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows administration, configuration and version patching are a plus
• Has at least 1 year experience using MS word, MS PowerPoint and MS excel.
• Has at least 2 years’ experience in implementing and supporting network and security deployment.
• Has knowledge in VAPT testing
• Has knowledge in configuring and maintaining CISCO and Juniper platforms
• Has good communication and written skills.
