Job summary

Asurion is seeking a Cyber Intrusion Analyst II to join the Cyber Command Center. The role involves monitoring intrusion detection systems, analyzing threats, and coordinating incident response across enterprise security domains including cloud, forensics, and vulnerability management.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in information security, familiar with SIEM tools, network protocols, and scripting in common languages.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Computer Science, MIS, or related field desirable; practical experience may be considered.
• MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field desired.
• 3+ years in computing and information security in a cross-functional, global setting preferred.
• Certifications like CISSP, GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, EnCE desirable.
• Strong knowledge of core network protocols (TCP/IP, ICMP, DHCP, DNS).
• Familiarity with SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, EDR, and endpoint management tools.
• Familiarity with OOP languages (Python/Java/C#).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors intrusion detection and protection sensors and security monitoring infrastructure.
• Collects threat intelligence and adjusts operational responses accordingly.
• Responds to Tier I & II security alerts and events.
• Analyzes network traffic for malicious indicators.
• Supports prompt response to information security incidents.
• Prioritizes and remediates enterprise vulnerabilities and exposures.
• Generates reports from security tools and GSOC activities.
• Supports forensics investigations and penetration testing.
• Helps improve cloud security posture within Asurion.
• Keeps knowledge up-to-date with industry practices.
