UCPB-CIIF Finance and Development Corporation is seeking a Credit Investigation Staff to conduct comprehensive credit investigations, validate borrower information, and prepare objective CIRs to support lending decisions.
Responsibilities include due diligence, field and desk investigations, reporting findings, and coordinating with departments for collateral verification while ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
The Credit Investigation Staff is responsible for conducting comprehensive credit investigations and background checks on prospective and existing borrowers to assess their creditworthiness, financial capacity, character, and repayment ability. The position gathers and validates information from various sources, performs field and desk investigations, and submits objective credit investigation reports to support sound lending decisions while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Validates the accuracy and completeness of gathered information and documents pertaining to the Borrower and Guarantors' identification and financial capacity.
Performs due diligence by checking available public records, legal cases, credit references, and other relevant information.
Immediately reports any fraudulent documents, misrepresentations, adverse findings, or suspicious activities discovered during the investigation process.
Assess the adequacy and acceptability of collateral based on available information, and coordinates with the appropriate departments for property verification and appraisal.
Provides an objective and timely Credit Investigation Report (CIR) highlighting the findings, risks, strengths and recommendations for Management's consideration.
With 2 years experience in credit investigation, loan processing, banking, financing, credit analysis, or related work
Willing to conduct field investigations and travel, as necessary
Strong analytical, investigative and report-writing skills
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Accountancy, Economics, Legal Management, Criminology, or any related field
