Job summary

Cambridge University Press & Assessment is seeking a Credit Controller to join the Global Credit Team in a fixed-term 6-month role. The position focuses on debt collection, credit checking, and risk mitigation across a global customer base, with hybrid work and an in-office requirement at least two days a week.

Responsibilities include proactive collections, maintaining customer records, and collaborating with Sales to balance revenue with risk. AAT/CICM desirable and SAP experience preferred.

  • Collaborate with Sales to monitor live deals while mitigating bad debt risk.
  • Engage with key customers via phone and email to understand their business.

Job description

Employment type: Fixed Term (6 months)

Location: Makati City, Metro Manila

Work setup: Hybrid (open to at least 2x a week in the office)

Work schedule: 3PM to 11PM Manila time

Pay range: Php 24,000 to Php 30,000

We are looking for a Credit Controller to join our Global Credit Team. As a key member of our team, your goal will be to manage the asset of debt for Cambridge University Press and Assessment, within the global credit policy by driving collections and mitigate bad debt risk across a global customer base. This role will also conduct credit checking activities and analysing Financial Statements to make responsible credit decisions and escalation to senior stakeholders.

What will you do as a Credit Controller?

As a Credit Controller, your responsibilities will include:

  • Proactive credit controlling to ensure on time collections and minimise bad debt.

  • Maintain customer records to ensure information is safe, efficient, and reliable to evaluate credit worthiness.

  • Carry out effective management of accounts ensuring the customer and business needs are met.

  • Resolve customer queries and dispute effectively.

  • Conduct credit checking, reporting and other related credit activities within KPI's.

  • Support a wider Credit Management team to achieve targets.

  • Collaborate with Sales Manager to keep a sale live while mitigating the risk of bad debt.

  • Meet and work with key customers via telephone, email communication and when customers visit the branch. to gain a clearer understanding of their business.

  • Always ensure compliance in relation to Legal, GDPR, Audit and Company Policies.

  • Studying or qualified in AAT/CICM desirable.
