Job summary

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is seeking a Project Officer to facilitate, oversee, and monitor technology-based projects in line with the SDLC. This role acts as a bridge between ISG and business units to ensure goals are defined, communicated, and implemented.

Responsibilities include coordinating scope, timeline, and documentation with project managers, assisting in closeout and PVRR reporting, and recommending improvements for automation and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ICT, management, engineering or CS.
• At least 5 years of experience managing technology-based projects.
• Strong project, system and business analysis skills; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates and monitors project scope, tasks, timeline and issues with the EPM and IT PMs.
• Assist in preparing project closure and Project Value Realization Report.
• Recommends policy/process changes to improve automation, risk mitigation and standards.
• Supervises project support staff to ensure timely completion; manages evaluation criteria.
• Acts as liaison for technology-related requests within the division.

Job description

The Project Officer is primarily responsible for facilitating; overseeing; and monitoring all tasks and deliverables pertaining to the assigned technology-based project in accordance to the prescribed Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standard and liaising between Information System Group (ISG) and the Business group/s to ensure goals and strategies are clearly defined; communicated and implemented.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates and monitor key project scope, tasks, documentation, timeline and issues in coordination with the Enterprise Project Manager (EPM), IT Project Manager and the entire project team, to ensure its completion and/or resolution conforming to all established policies, standards and procedures required
• Assist the EPM in preparing the project closure and Project Value Realization Report (PVRR) to assess results vs declared project benefits
• Recommends changes in policies, procedures and/or organization in relation to the new initiative to initiate process improvements through automation, risk mitigation, and compliance to standards
• Supervises Project Support Staff in handling projects assigned to them to ensure timeliness of completion of assigned tasksProvides personnel planning by establishing evaluation criteria, training, and career path
• Acts as primary liaison for all technology-related requests and plans of the division he/she is assigned to

Qualifications

• Skills: Project management, system analysis, business analysis and supervisory skills. Proficiency in written and oral communication skills. Computer literate
