Job summary

BDO Unibank is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to ensure accurate reporting of credit card transactions and timely submission to regulators and internal/external users. The role includes supervising bookkeeping, reconciliation, monitoring, and reporting of selected GL accounts arising from credit card transactions.

You will lead a small team, ensuring data integrity across reports, and ensure timeliness of daily journal entries for core GL accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field; CPA licence is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience including financial reporting; 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficient in Oracle or similar accounting systems; Power BI / Power Query.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to guide and motivate a team.
• Experience in credit card, banking, or financial services preferred.
• Willing to work onsite in Makati.

Responsibilities

• Check reports and schedules for accuracy and completeness against supporting documents and trial balance.
• Submit verified reports to Section Head for review and approval.
• Check daily accounting journal entries for assigned GL accounts to maintain an updated book of accounts.

The role will be mainly responsible for checking, accurate presentation, completeness and timely submission of reports of credit card transactions for submission to regulatory agencies and other internal and external users. Responsible for supervising the bookkeeping, reconciliation, monitoring and reporting of selected GL accounts arising from credit card transactions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Check the reports and schedules to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data and balances vs supporting documents and trial balance.
• Submit verified reports to Section Head for review and approval to certify its propriety.
• Check the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the daily accounting journal entries of assigned GL accounts to provide an updated book of accounts.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field; CPA license is an advantage
• At least 5 years of solid accounting experience, including financial reporting, with 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
• Proficient in Oracle or similar accounting systems, Power BI / Power Query
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; able to guide and motivate a team

• Willing to work onsite and be assigned in Makati
