Job summary

Mind Friend is seeking a creative External Video Editor to support our growing library of short-form content. We film weekly with accredited psychologists, creating educational content for Instagram Reels, TikTok and other social platforms, with a large backlog to process at scale at speed.

You will edit using professional software, apply captions, motion graphics, color grading and AI-assisted visuals, and deliver high-quality edits with independent ownership and fast turnaround.

Qualifications

• Proven experience editing short-form content for social media.
• Strong creative instincts and understanding of what keeps viewers watching.
• Experience with captions, motion graphics, transitions, sound effects, colour grading and VFX.
• Comfortable using AI-generated visuals and tools to enhance content.
• Able to work independently and take creative ownership of edits.
• Own professional hardware capable of handling raw footage and high-quality exports.

Responsibilities

• Edit weekly footage into engaging short-form content for social platforms.
• Apply captions, motion graphics, transitions, SFX, color grading and VFX as needed.
• Incorporate AI-generated visuals and B-roll for dynamic content.
• Deliver edits that meet briefs and timelines with minimal supervision.
