Job summary

Green Carbon Inc. is seeking a Country Head to lead our Philippines subsidiary. You will own the P&L, set local strategy, and build the team and relationships from the ground up, while coordinating closely with HQ in Japan.

You should have management experience with P&L, proven ability to launch and scale business in Southeast Asia, fluent English and business-level Japanese, and eligibility to work in the Philippines. Visa relocation support may apply if needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Philippines subsidiary, owning the P&L and setting and executing the local business strategy.
• Launch and scale carbon credit projects (agriculture, livestock, forestry) on the ground.
• Build relationships and negotiate with local government, authorities, certification bodies, partners and farmers.
• Build, hire, develop and manage the local team.
• Handle local regulations, licensing and compliance, and work closely with HQ in Japan.

Job description

Green Carbon Inc. (climate-tech, approximately 314 employees) is looking for a Country Head to lead our Philippines subsidiary. You will own the P&L and build our nature-based carbon credit business there from the ground up. Rather than inheriting an established organization, you will build the local business, team and relationships yourself, making key on-the-ground decisions while working closely with HQ leadership in Japan.

If a visa is required to work in the Philippines, you will be based in Tokyo until your visa is obtained, then relocate to the Philippines. If you are already authorized to work locally, you can start locally.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the Philippines — if a visa is required, able to relocate after obtaining it; or already authorized to work locally

Compensation

• Salary: negotiable, based on your experience and qualifications
• Performance-based incentive bonus once a year; salary review twice a year
