Job summary

HSBC Manila seeks a Subject Matter Expert in Counterparty Credit Risk – Collateral and Risk to join a fast-paced risk control team. The role focuses on remediation of breaks between trading and risk portals, and on monitoring credit risk against approved limits.

The candidate will analyze variations, report findings, and interact with risk managers to align systems and roadmap. Strong VBA/Excel skills and knowledge of credit risk are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce or equivalent, or risk management experience.
• Knowledge of Credit Risk, Market Risk, Collateral and Reconciliation.
• Experience with Traded Credit Risk Control is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify breaks between front end trading systems and risk portal systems and work toward remediation.
• Investigate and report credit risk arising from trading activities against approved limits.
• Report and analyze causes of variation and address issues to correct them.
• Investigate and report credit risk from utilizations shown in risk systems.
• Provide regular updates to Traded Credit Risk Control managers on team performance.

Subject Matter Expert - Counterparty Credit Risk - Collateral and Risk Manila

Job Responsibilities

• Identifying the breaks between various front end trading systems and the risk portal systems working towards the remediation.
• Investigating and reporting credit risk arising from trading activities against approved limits
• Reporting and analyzing the cause of variation and addressing the issues to correct the same.
• Investigating and reporting credit risk arising from trading activities against the utilizations shown in risk systems
• Provide regular information to Traded Credit Risk Control managers on the performance of the team in terms of capacity and quality of output.
• Interact with Traded Risk Control Managers and other risk managers on a regular basis to understand the Risk systems and organization roadmap to ensure that impact and opportunities for the offshore team are identified in time.

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of Credit Risk, Market Risk, Collateral, Reconciliation
• Knowledge of Counterparty Credit Risk is an advantage
• A degree / qualification in Finance, Economics, Commerce or equivalent or previous experience in Risk management (Credit Risk)
• Knowledge of Credit Risk, Treasury products, operations, systems and related regulations.
• Knowledge of group risk systems, primary trading systems and static data systems desirable
• Knowledge Financial Services sector, terminology and issues an advantage.
• Knowledge of programming in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Excel and Structured Queruld be an advantage
• Previous experience in a Traded Credit Risk Control management environment is highly desirable.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
