Job summary

DMCI Homes is seeking a Cost Officer to lead the project site team in delivering efficient cost control, accurate documentation, and strong coordination with engineering and operations.

The role oversees cost engineers, BIM specialists, and support staff to ensure projects stay within budget, align with design intent, and comply with contractual and technical requirements. Strong leadership and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 3 years experience in construction cost engineering / quantity surveying.
• At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong background in cost estimation, quantity surveying, and cost control.
• Proficient in CostX, BIM software, and Primavera navigation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budget monitoring, quantity take-offs, and bill of materials aligned with EPC schedules.
• Lead cost forecasting and ensure accuracy of cost-to-complete projections.
• Review and validate progress billing, variation orders, and subcontractor claims.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering initiatives.
• Manage subcontract agreements and resolve cost-related disputes.
• Review project cost reports for accuracy and insights.
• Monitor financial performance and recommend improvements.
• Ensure tracking of variation orders, contingency plans, and payments.
• Oversee project dashboards and reporting systems.
• Ensure timely close-out of final accounts.
• Coordinate with design and operations on changes; ensure BIM models aligned.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Cost Control

• Oversee budget monitoring, quantity take-offs, and bill of materials aligned with EPC schedules

• Ensure timely close-out of final accounts

3. Technical & Design Coordination

• Coordinate with design and operations teams on project changes and revisions
• Ensure timely delivery and alignment of drawings (FCD) and BIM models
• Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and construction methods
• Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
• Act as liaison between Design and Operations teams

4. Document Control & Systems Management

• Ensure proper documentation, review, and approval of all project records
• Oversee BIM 360 and document flow management
• Ensure completeness of as-built drawings and close-out documentation

5. Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and manage Cost Engineers, BIM Specialist, and support staff
• Monitor team performance and KPIs (KRAs)
• Support individual development plans and capability building
• Ensure timely execution of deliverables and deadlines
