Job summary

BHP is seeking a cost engineering specialist in the Philippines to develop budgets, track commitments and monitor accruals for major capital projects. You will influence on-budget delivery by forecasting contingencies and managing changes within the project control framework.

Ideal candidates bring advanced Excel skills, strong problem-solving and communication abilities, and experience with Ecosys, Stature or Aconex. Spanish is a plus and collaboration across stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent business experience.
• Significant years of experience in cost/contract or project controls roles.
• Experience with project systems similar to Ecosys, Stature and Aconex.
• Strong proficiency in advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develops cost engineering methodologies and systems for major capital programs.
• Maintains original budgets, tracks commitments and accruals.
• Forecasts contingences and manages changes to influence on-budget delivery.
• Produces cost reports and ensures alignment with the project master schedule.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to improve decision making and value chain performance.
• Reviews and approves contractor procedures and transactions.
