Job summary

SM Engineering Design and Development Corp. is seeking a Civil Engineering professional for project budgeting, cost control, and risk management within our Manila-area operations, including MOA, Pasay.

The role involves engaging with multiple stakeholders to prepare budgets, monitor expenditures, and analyze cost performance against KPIs. The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with a professional license, 2 years of related experience, and is willing to be assigned at MOA, Pasay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional license in the field.
• Preferably 2 years related experience.
• Knowledgeable in basic construction.
• Willing to be assigned at MOA, Pasay.

Responsibilities

• Project Initiation: Monitor preparation and approval of Rate Cards and General Construction Works Provisional Contract and provide tracker to ensure timely schedule.
• Budget Preparation: Prepare initial budget for New Development, Redevelopment and Improvement projects; liaise with Construction Manager and Project Manager for materials/items based on budget; ensure Detailed Budget stays within approved parameters.
• Cost Control Management: Review budget movement requests for correctness; prepare cost performance reports against KPI; update Parametric Costs yearly.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project/contract risks and recommend solutions; use standard risk techniques.
• Technology Proficiency: Validate SAP Budget Report vs Approved Budget; review Work Breakdown Structure submissions for conformance and re-align as necessary.
