Muebles Italiano in the Philippines is seeking a Cost and Inventory Analyst to monitor inventory movements, analyze product costs, and maintain accurate records across Accounting, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Sales.
You will perform counts, reconciliations, cost variance analysis, and prepare regular inventory and costing reports, while working to improve controls and ensure policy compliance. Strong Excel/Google Sheets and ERP experience are required.
The Cost and Inventory Analyst is responsible for monitoring inventory movements, analyzing product costs, maintaining accurate inventory records, and identifying discrepancies that may affect the company's financial and operational performance. The position works closely with Accounting, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Sales to ensure accurate costing and inventory control.
Monitor and analyze inventory levels, movements, transfers, adjustments, and variances.
Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile physical inventory against system records.
Perform inventory reconciliation and investigate discrepancies, shortages, overages, and unusual transactions.
Compute, review, and maintain accurate product costing, including landed costs and other applicable costs.
Analyze cost variances and identify factors affecting product costs and profitability.
Assist in conducting physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
Review inventory transactions and ensure proper documentation and system encoding.
Monitor slow-moving, aging, obsolete, and excess inventory and prepare corresponding reports.
Coordinate with Warehouse, Accounting, Purchasing, Sales, and other departments regarding inventory and costing concerns.
Prepare regular inventory, costing, variance, and management reports.
Assist in improving inventory controls and procedures to minimize errors and inventory losses.
Ensure compliance with company policies and established accounting and inventory procedures.
Perform other related duties that may be assigned by Management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Preferably with experience in inventory control, Pricing, inventory analysis, or a related role.
Strong knowledge of inventory reconciliation and costing principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets, particularly formulas, PivotTables, and data analysis.
Experience with ERP or inventory management systems is an advantage.
Good communication and coordination skills.
