Responsibilities
Analyze product costs, production variances, and key cost metrics to support management decision-making.
Prepare detailed cost reports and provide insights on manufacturing expenses, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and process efficiency.
Maintain accurate inventory valuation methods and conduct regular inventory audits, ensuring proper cut-offs and reconciliation between physical counts and financial records.
Oversee material receipt, issuance, and recording in SAP, ensuring timely and accurate data entry.
Collaborate with Purchasing and Warehousing to validate material costs and verify cost accuracy across systems.
Develop and maintain robust product costing models to support pricing strategies and new product introductions.
Review and enforce internal controls related to inventory management, including segregation of duties, user access, and period cut-offs.
Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing costs; perform variance analysis and report on performance vs. targets.
Work cross-functionally to align cost structures with operational activities and ensure process costs reflect financial records.
Document cost accounting procedures, methodologies, and process flows to ensure transparency and compliance.
Approve plant spare parts requisition slips in line with established controls and cost accountability standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong foundation in Industrial Engineering principles, with experience in process analysis, time and motion studies, or work optimization.
Solid understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing cost structures.
Experience in a manufacturing or plant environment is highly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and cost tracking tools.
