Job summary

Eight Under Par (Pawnshop Operator), Inc. is seeking a Cost Accounting Assistant to support cost analysis, budgeting, and production cost tracking. You will assist the Finance Supervisor and help improve cost efficiency across operations.

Responsibilities include recording cost transactions, tracking allocations, preparing cost reports, and performing inventory reconciliations. A college-level education in business/accounting and strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic accounting and costing.
• Experience with variance analysis and inventories.
• Familiarity with MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Record cost related transactions - enter costs associated with the production or purchase of goods.
• Track and allocate costs - direct and indirect costs for products or services, allocate overhead costs to different departments or products.
• Cost reports - assist in preparing reports related to production costs, unit costs, etc.
• Inventory reconciliation - track inventory levels and reconcile the reports.
• Cost variance analysis - assist in analyzing differences between actual costs and projected costs.
• Standard cost setting - assist in establishing standard costs for materials, labor, etc.
• Auditing support - assist with audit preparations and cater the external auditor.
• Product costing - assist in determining the cost of each SKUs.
• Prepares report and presentations for internal communications.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1. Cost Accounting Assistant will perform variety of tasks in general such as analyzing and tracking costs related to production to aid in budgeting, pricing, cost control other related.
• 2. It supports the Finance Supervisor in all related tasks for the improvement of duties and responsibilities to cater the cost efficiency of the factory.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education College

College Level

Knowledge (knowledgeable in the following)

Knowledge on basic accounting, costing, and variance analysis, inventory reports and among others

Skills

• 1. With background in basic accounting principles.
• 2. Hand on experience with MS applications especially MS Excel and Powerpoint.
• 3. Knowledge in costing/ cost efficiency.
• 4. Knowledge in recording inventories, variance analysis, and reconciliation reports.
• 5. Attention to detail.
• 6. Having knowledge/experience with accounting software is a plus (oracle/SAP/etc).
• 7. Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• 8. Teamwork skills
• 9. BS degree in any business related or accounting related course.
