Job summary

Island Pacific Global Inc. invites applications for a dedicated Cost Accountant to support our meat processing facility and central kitchen operations.

You will maintain cost records, analyze variances, and ensure accurate inventory valuation and financial reporting. The role focuses on cost analysis across raw materials, labor, packaging, and overhead, with responsibilities including budgeting support, COGS reporting, and continuous improvement of cost controls in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of cost accounting in food manufacturing
• Experience in meat processing or protein operations preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA a plus but not required
• Strong knowledge of COGS, standard costing, variance analysis

Responsibilities

• Maintain and analyze cost records for materials, labor, overhead
• Prepare standard cost reports, variance analyses, and COGS reporting
• Analyze production yields, material usage, waste, and shrinkage for cost efficiency
• Monitor and reconcile inventory movements across systems
• Support budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing costs
• Perform profitability and margin analysis by product/category
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing and cost-related journal entries
• Support cost-control improvements and reporting accuracy
