We are looking for a Cost Accountant who will specialize in automotive accessories pricing and profitability analysis. This role will be responsible for preparing and analyzing product costs, developing pricing recommendations, monitoring gross profit margins, and ensuring that pricing decisions support the company’s financial objectives.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with numbers, pricing data, and cross-functional teams.
Prepare accurate product costing and pricing for automotive accessories, including supplier costs, freight, labor, and other relevant costs.
Develop and maintain pricing models and recommendations.
Maintain updated pricing schedules to support target gross profit margins.
Review and update product costs and pricing based on changes in business conditions.
Analyze product profitability and pricing by product, category, and client.
Evaluate pricing changes, discounts, markups, and margins.
Identify opportunities and risks affecting product profitability.
Ensure pricing decisions are aligned with approved pricing and profitability targets.
Monitor supplier cost changes and purchase price variances.
Assess the impact of cost changes on product profitability and pricing.
Coordinate with Supply Chain and Purchasing to maintain accurate product cost masterlists and pricing databases.
Identify and report significant cost and pricing variances.
Prepare product costing, pricing, and profitability reports.
Perform gross profit and markup analysis.
Assist management with financial projections and new product evaluations.
Support month-end reporting and other finance-related analysis.
Ensure compliance with approved pricing policies and procedures.
Maintain proper documentation and approval of pricing changes.
Investigate and resolve pricing and costing discrepancies.
Coordinate with Finance, Accounting, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Sales, and other relevant departments.
Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Preferably with experience in cost accounting, pricing analysis, financial reporting, or general accounting.
Knowledge of product costing, markup, gross profit, and pricing principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
Experience with accounting systems or ERP is an advantage.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.

Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
Ability to analyze large amounts of financial and pricing data and translate findings into actionable insights.
