Job summary

BPI MS Insurance Corporation is seeking a Legal Officer to oversee legal reviews, risk assessment, and filing opinions to support corporate decisions in the Philippines. Qualifications

Law degree from an accredited school with good standing.
Minimum 5 years in law firm or in-house corporate counsel focusing on compliance.
Experience with governance, risk, and regulatory reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide legal review, documentation and opinions to minimize risk and support decisions.
Monitor suspected dishonest acts or fraud investigations in coordination with HR and relevant units.
Draft regulatory requirements and prepare reports for senior management.
Advise departments on legal risk and manage the legal check framework.
Ensure data privacy compliance and update privacy SOPs and training materials.
Ensure outsourcing contracts comply with policy and proper archiving of originals.
Annual review of policies, regulations and guidelines, and training materials.
Disseminate laws and jurisprudence to employees and partners, and respond to inquiries.
Manage budget for office supplies and travel with cost-conscious spending.
