Job summary

Asticom Technology Inc is seeking a Paralegal Assistant to join our legal team on a five-month contract in Taguig City, Metro Manila. You will support lawyers with research, document preparation, and file management, helping ensure compliance with legal standards and company policies.

The role requires 0–3 years of experience in a legal environment and completion of a paralegal or legal studies qualification.

Qualifications

• Completed paralegal or legal studies qualification or relevant vocational training in law or legal administration
• 0-3 years of experience working in a legal environment, law firm or in-house legal department
• Strong proficiency in legal research methodologies and familiarity with legal databases and online resources
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate legal concepts clearly
• Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail when managing multiple documents and case files
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software
• Understanding of legal ethics, confidentiality obligations and professional standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Preferred experience with contract law, commercial law or litigation support

Responsibilities

• Assist lawyers with legal research and document preparation for various cases and legal matters
• Prepare and maintain legal documents, including contracts, agreements, correspondence and pleadings
• Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and easily accessible
• Assist with client intake procedures and gather relevant information for case files
• Conduct legal research using online legal databases and resources to support legal analysis
• Draft correspondence, memoranda and legal documents under the direction of supervising attorneys
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings, depositions and court appearances
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with legal ethics and professional standards
• Support litigation preparation activities, including trial document organisation and exhibits management
• Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing and document tracking
