Job summary

Philippine Span Asia Carrier Corp. (Manila) is seeking a Container Van Inspector to assess and document container van conditions before and after use.

You will ensure containers meet safety and company standards and are fit for loading, transport, and delivery. This role requires physical fitness, willingness to work in yards or ports, attention to detail, basic report-writing skills, and the ability to coordinate with maintenance and operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in container inspection or maintenance is advantageous.
• Physically fit and willing to work in yard/port environment.
• Strong attention to detail and good observational ability.
• Basic computer skills for recording inspection results and reports.
• Good communication and coordination with teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of container vans for structural, mechanical, and cleanliness conditions.
• Check doors, locks, hinges, flooring, walls, roof, and corner posts for damage or defects.
• Identify and document dents, cracks, corrosion, and other damages.
• Verify container identification numbers, markings, seals, and required details.
• Prepare inspection reports and photographs of damaged or defective containers.
• Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and yard personnel for repairs or corrective actions.
• Monitor containers during in-gate and out-gate inspections.
• Ensure procedures comply with safety standards and company policies.
