Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) with basic tasks
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials or equipment
- Clean and prepare job sites (e.g., removing debris, setting up barricades)
- Operate hand tools and power tools under supervision
- Mix, pour, and spread materials like concrete, asphalt, or mortar
- Set up and take down scaffolding, ladders, and temporary structures
- Follow all health and safety regulations on-site
- Perform general site maintenance, including sweeping and organizing materials
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred (not always required)
- Previous experience in a labor or helper role is a plus but not necessary
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Physical strength and stamina; able to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- NBI Clearance
- Medical Certificate (If not available we can provide assistance)
