They work to minimize accidents, injuries, and hazards, promoting a safe working environment for all workers, contractors, and visitors. Below is a typical job description:

Ensure that all safety protocols are being followed on the construction site in accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and local safety regulations.

• Regularly inspect work sites to identify potential hazards.
• Monitor and enforce the use of safety gear and equipment (e.g., helmets, gloves, safety vests).
• Conduct safety orientations for all new workers and contractors.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, Environmental Health, or a related field is often preferred.
• OSHA Certification (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification) is essential. Some roles may require the 10-Hour OSHA Certification as a minimum.
• First Aid/CPR Certification: Must be able to respond to emergencies and provide initial medical assistance.
