Job summary

Desq Design Studio in Metro Manila is seeking an experienced Construction Manager on a contract basis to oversee all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. You will coordinate between design, engineering, contractors, and clients, ensure safety, and maintain compliance.

The role requires 2-3 years hands-on CM experience, strong budgeting and scheduling skills, and a track record of delivering multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years hands-on experience in construction management or related supervisory role.
• Proven track record of managing multiple construction projects from start to finish.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards in the Philippines.
• Excellent planning and scheduling skills with proficiency in project management software/tools.
• Ability to manage budgets effectively and control costs without compromising quality.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in reading construction drawings, blueprints and specs.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
• Certifications or qualifications in construction management are desirable.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. In this strategic position, you will oversee all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. As Construction Manager, you will play a crucial role in coordinating between design, engineering, contractors and clients, whilst maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance. This role is instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of our projects and directly impacts the reputation and profitability of Desq Design Studio.

Key responsibilities

• Planning, scheduling and coordinating all construction activities on assigned projects, ensuring timely project completion and adherence to deadlines

• Managing project budgets, monitoring expenditure and controlling costs to ensure projects remain within approved financial parameters

• Overseeing quality control measures and conducting regular inspections to ensure all work meets specification and industry standards

• Liaising with architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution and effective communication

• Implementing and maintaining health and safety protocols on site, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

• Managing project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders and progress reports

• Resolving on-site issues and conflicts promptly, making decisions that support project objectives

• Conducting regular site meetings with key stakeholders to review progress, address concerns and maintain project momentum

• Maintaining detailed records of project activities, resources and outcomes for reporting and analysis purposes

What we are looking for

• Minimum 2-3 years of hands‑on experience in construction management or a related supervisory role within the construction industry

• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple construction projects simultaneously from start to completion

• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, safety regulations and industry standards in the Philippines

• Excellent project planning and scheduling skills, with proficiency in project management software and tools

• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively and control project costs without compromising quality

• Exceptional organisational and time management abilities, with strong attention to detail

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints and technical specifications

• Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

• A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required

• Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction management are highly desirable
