Duties and Responsibilities

Overall Construction Management Process

• · Ensure all parties, including Contractor, work together as a team to provide a finished project, in a time frame acceptable to the Client, to the quality required by the Client, and to a budget acceptable to the Client.
• · Ensure a clear organizational structure with good communication lines between all parties.
• · Oversee the execution of the project on a day-to-day basis including pre- construction, construction and post construction phases and act decisively should the project run into delay or any activity is being carried out in an unsafe manner.
• · Preparation of the Project Construction Report.
• · Supervise, monitoring of works during construction and Post Construction Phases in accordance with the Contract between the Client and the Contractor.
• · Review and comment on the Contractors construction program, monitor and report updates during execution of the Works.
• · Prepare supporting task particularly procurement of materials, progress monitoring, and billings.
• · Assist the site Project Manager on site implementations of project schedule and quality.
• · Assist the site Project Manager on the development and improvement of policies and procedures that may lead to effective/efficient implementation of project construction management.
• · Prepare and monitor pending activities for immediate actions from the department concerned.
• · Preparation and issuance of Construction Close Out Report.
• · Check drawings, review project work scope, drawings and requirements for compliance to engineering design, materials, procurement, fabrication and construction.
• · Oversee quality control, health and safety matters on the site, and ensuring that regulations are adhered to.
• · Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise.
• · Identify risks and issues, suggest alternatives that lead to a better solution.
• · Manage contractual obligations of the parties and provides continual review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met

Technical Competencies and Skills

• Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Able to coordinate tactical plans for effective/efficient construction management of assigned projects
• Able to report/highlight issues for timely resolution so as not to adversely impact on the delivery of required projectperformance parameters (in terms of time, cost, quality and safety)
• Able to use construction management systems/tools (e.g., e-Procurement, project monitoring and reporting applicationslike Smart sheet, etc.) for proper construction management of projects handled
• Able to interpret project contract conditions and documents for the delivery of projects within the contract stipulations

Education, Trainings and Licenses Required

• Graduate of BS Civil Engineering
