Job summary

Sta. Clara International Corp. is seeking an Accounting Staff to assist in day-to-day accounting operations, focusing on construction project-related activities within the Manila area.

The role involves recording financial transactions, invoicing, AP/AR support, and ensuring accurate financial records. The ideal candidate has a BS in Accountancy or related field, 1–2 years of accounting experience, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Accountancy, Financial Management, or any related accounting or finance course.
• Preferably with 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with accounting software is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and highly accurate in handling financial records.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Willing to work on-site and coordinate with construction project teams.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate accounting transactions and financial records.
• Prepare and process invoices, vouchers, receipts, and other accounting documents.
• Assist in monitoring Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Verify and reconcile invoices, receipts, purchase orders, and supporting documents.
• Assist in monitoring project-related expenses, purchases, and disbursements.
• Prepare and maintain records of cash advances, liquidations, and reimbursements.
• Assist in bank and account reconciliations.
• Monitor and maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records.
• Assist in preparing periodic accounting reports and schedules.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Project, Warehouse, and Administrative teams regarding accounting-related documents.
• Assist in monitoring and recording construction project expenses and operational costs.
• Ensure that transactions are properly documented and supported by required approvals.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Provide supporting documents and information needed for audits.
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager.
