Job summary

Anglo Singapore International School seeks a passionate A Level Computer Science teacher for its Secondary team at the Sukhumvit 64 campus. You will lead Cambridge International AS & A Level Computer Science (9618) lessons, focusing on theoretical and practical work and preparing students for exams.

You will engage students with algorithms, data structures, databases, networking, and AI topics, while supporting progression from IGCSE where needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE, or equivalent will be an advantage
  • Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience in Computer Science, with significant experience teaching A Level Computer Science.
  • Strong and recent experience teaching the Cambridge International AS & A Level Computer Science (9618) syllabus.
  • Strong understanding of Cambridge assessment requirements and examination preparation.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach programming, algorithms, data structures, and computational theory at A Level.

POSITION: Computer Science Teacher (A Level)

Job Summary

Anglo Singapore International School is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and academically strong A Level Computer Science Teacher to join our Secondary team at the Sukhumvit 64 campus.

The successful candidate will have strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Cambridge International AS & A Level Computer Science (9618), with the ability to develop students’ advanced computational thinking, programming, problem-solving, and analytical skills. The role will focus primarily on A Level Computer Science, while supporting progression from IGCSE where required.

The ideal candidate will be confident teaching both theoretical and practical aspects of Computer Science and will be able to engage students with areas such as algorithms, programming, data structures, computer systems, databases, networking, and emerging technologies including artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality Cambridge International AS & A Level Computer Science (9618) lessons.
  • Teach advanced Computer Science concepts, including: Algorithms and computational thinking, Programming and problem-solving, Data structures, Computer systems and architecture, Data representation, Databases, Networking, Software development, Computational theory
  • Prepare students thoroughly for Cambridge AS & A Level examinations, including both theoretical and practical components.
  • Develop students' programming skills through appropriate programming languages, environments, and practical activities.
  • Support students in developing strong analytical, logical, and computational thinking skills.
  • Plan effective revision, examination preparation, and targeted intervention to support strong academic outcomes.
  • Assess, track, and monitor student progress, using assessment data to inform teaching and provide appropriate differentiation and support.
  • Support curriculum planning and ensure appropriate progression between IGCSE and A Level.
  • Introduce relevant emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, automation, and robotics, where appropriate and aligned with the curriculum.
  • Support or contribute to co-curricular activities such as coding, robotics, programming, STEM, or technology clubs.
  • Maintain a positive, disciplined, and academically challenging classroom environment.
  • Encourage students to become independent learners and responsible users of technology.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and expectations.
  • Contribute positively to departmental development and wider school activities.
  • Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and the responsible use of digital technologies.
Qualifications & Experience
