John Clements Consultants, Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Compliance Specialist to ensure adherence to regulatory and reporting requirements across BIR, PEZA, SEC and other agencies. You will monitor legal changes, assess impacts on operations, and coordinate with external consultants during audits.
The role requires a CPA or Bachelor’s in Accountancy and a minimum of 3 years in regulatory compliance or taxation, with strong Excel and communication skills.
About the role:
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the Company's compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, permits, licenses, and reporting requirements mandated by government agencies and regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities:
Ensure timely compliance with all regulatory, statutory, and reportorial requirements of the Company.
Monitor changes in laws, regulations, circulars, and guidelines issued by BIR, PEZA, SEC, BOC, LGUs, and other applicable regulatory agencies.
Assess the impact of regulatory changes on Company operations and recommend necessary actions.
Prepare, review, and coordinate the timely filing of tax returns, information returns, and other tax-related reports.
Monitor compliance with tax regulations and documentary requirements.
Coordinate with external consultants and tax authorities during audits, investigations, and assessments.
Maintain proper records and documentation supporting tax filings and compliance activities.
Prepare and submit PEZA reportorial requirements and applications.
Ensure timely filing of SEC reportorial requirements, including but not limited to General Information Sheets (GIS), Audited Financial Statements (AFS), and other required disclosures.
Coordinate the renewal and maintenance of business permits, licenses, registrations, and certifications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, preferably CPA.
At least 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance, taxation, corporate compliance, or related functions.
Strong knowledge of Philippine regulatory requirements, particularly those related to BIR, PEZA, and SEC.
Familiarity with corporate governance, taxation, and government reportorial requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
