Job summary

Northern Trust seeks a Compliance Analyst to support the enhancement of policy and governance programs. This role provides oversight and reporting for policy and governance workstreams, working within a collaborative, flexible culture with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery.

Responsibilities include creating cross-source reports, managing SharePoint sites, and assisting in developing compliance programs under supervision.

Qualifications

• At least 1-3 years experience in risk management, compliance, or audit.
• Understanding of regulatory, compliance and risk related matters.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Governance, Risk & Compliance solutions such as Service Now.
• History of producing accurate, timely reporting with minimal rework.
• Builds trust through consistency, clarity, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Create relevant reporting by analyzing input from multiple sources, spot inconsistencies, and ensure completeness and accuracy in reports.
• Create and manage the team’s Policy and Governance SharePoint sites.
• Execute controls by understanding end-to-end processes to support effective control and governance activities.
• Assists senior management in developing and administering Compliance programs.
• Ability to recognize what "good" vs. "weak" practices look like, elevate issues appropriately, and document observations clearly, even when acting under supervision.
• Operates with the support of experienced staff and senior management.
• Candidate will develop into serving as a subject matter expert for policy and governance matters.
