  • Transportation: Drive company vehicles to transport goods, employees, or clients to various destinations. This may include driving within the city, to other regions, or occasionally long-distance travel.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the company vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and in good working condition. This includes regular checks on oil, tires, brakes, and other essential parts. Report any mechanical issues promptly to the fleet manager or supervisor.
  • Route Planning: Plan routes based on the most efficient paths to save time and fuel, considering traffic conditions and delivery schedules. Follow GPS and map instructions accurately.
  • Loading/Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading goods, materials, or luggage when necessary. Ensure that items are secured properly for transportation to prevent damage during transit.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies, ensuring safe driving practices at all times. Maintain a clean driving record and follow speed limits, parking regulations, and other traffic laws.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of trips, deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance. Complete any necessary paperwork related to deliveries, travel logs, or vehicle inspections.
  • Customer Service: Provide professional service when interacting with clients or customers. This may involve helping with cargo delivery, providing information, or ensuring that clients are satisfied with their experience.
  • Fueling and Refueling: Ensure that the vehicle is properly fueled before or during trips and keep receipts or records of fuel expenses. Monitor fuel efficiency and report any issues related to fuel consumption.
  • Time Management: Ensure timely delivery or arrival at scheduled destinations, communicating with the team if any delays or issues arise during the journey.
  • Adherence to Schedules: Follow company schedules or instructions for pick-ups and drop-offs, ensuring that all tasks are completed as efficiently as possible.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is usually required.
  • Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required. In some cases, a special commercial driver's license (CDL) may be necessary, especially for larger vehicles or specific industries.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a driver, particularly in a similar role (e.g., delivery driver, chauffeur, or personal driver).
