Transportation and Delivery
- Transport Goods or Passengers: Drive vehicles to transport goods, materials, or passengers to their destinations in a safe and timely manner.
- Route Planning: Plan and follow the most efficient routes to minimize delays and ensure on-time deliveries or arrivals.
- Loading and Unloading: If applicable, assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring that items are securely packed to prevent damage during transport.
Vehicle Maintenance
- Inspect Vehicle: Perform regular vehicle inspections, including checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and ensuring that the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Report Issues: Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly to ensure the vehicle is safe to drive.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the vehicle clean, both inside and out, ensuring it is presentable for passengers or clients.
Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to Traffic Laws: Follow all local, state, and federal traffic regulations to ensure the safety of passengers, goods, and others on the road.
- Follow Company Policies: Comply with company procedures, including those related to driving hours, safety, and reporting incidents.
- Accident Reporting: In case of an accident or traffic incident, report the event to the appropriate authorities and company management immediately.
Customer Service
- Interact with Clients or Passengers: Provide excellent customer service when transporting passengers, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and pleasant experience.
- Provide Assistance: Assist passengers with entering or exiting the vehicle, carrying items if necessary, and maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Valid Driver’s License: You must hold a valid driver’s license for the appropriate class of vehicle you’ll be driving, and have a clean driving record.
- Experience: Previous driving experience is preferred, especially in a commercial or delivery setting. However, we’re also open to candidates with a strong willingness to learn.
- Strong Navigation Skills: You should be comfortable using GPS or traditional maps and be able to navigate efficiently in various road conditions.
- Time Management: Being punctual and managing your time effectively to meet delivery schedules is essential to success in this role.
- Customer Service Skills: You’ll interact with clients regularly, so a friendly, professional, and helpful attitude is key to representing our company well.
- Physical Stamina: The role may require lifting and loading items into your vehicle, so physical strength and stamina are important.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring that deliveries are accurate and that vehicles are properly maintained is critical.
- Safety Awareness: Adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations is a must. You should also be prepared to handle any unforeseen issues, such as road closures or detours, safely and effectively.
