Role Summary
The Collections Manager – B2B will lead and develop a collections team to achieve cash flow objectives, reduce aging, and drive operational excellence while ensuring a positive customer experience and compliance with established processes.
The role requires flexibility to work US shifts and support global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day B2B collections operations and manage team performance against KPIs and SLAs.
- Drive portfolio reviews, aging reduction, and collection effectiveness initiatives.
- Monitor workflow and ensure timely completion of collection activities and customer follow-ups.
- Conduct coaching, knowledge-sharing sessions, refresher training, and performance reviews.
- Mentor team members and support capability development.
- Handle customer escalations and coordinate with Billing, Disputes, Sales, and Cash Application teams for issue resolution.
- Perform root-cause analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement and productivity enhancement.
- Support governance reviews, reporting, and stakeholder management activities.
- Ensure adherence to operational controls, quality standards, SOPs, and process documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve collections performance and operational efficiency.
Non‑Negotiable Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience, including manager‑level/team management experience.
- Strong experience in B2B Collections and/or Accounts Receivable.
- Experience managing B2B Collections/AR teams.
- Strong exposure to AR processes and Order‑to‑Cash (O2C).
- Experience in B2B, SaaS, Technology, or Shared Services environments.
- Proven experience handling customer escalations and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Strong people management, analytical, stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience supporting US customers and/or global operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of collections systems and ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Experience with Cash Application and Dispute Management is an advantage.
