KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities (Cold Storage)
Operate, monitor, maintain, and repair cold storage systems to ensure required temperatures are consistently achieved.
Conduct regular inspections of cold rooms, blast freezers, and storage equipment to ensure food safety and optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and repair cold storage mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
Record and maintain accurate temperature logs; report irregularities and initiate corrective actions.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety within cold storage rooms in compliance with industry standards.
Secondary Responsibilities (Refrigeration & AC Support)
Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems, chillers, and AC units within the facility.
Assist in diagnosing issues related to HVAC and cooling systems and perform necessary repairs.
Support installation or replacement of refrigeration/AC components as required.
General Responsibilities
Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, maintenance activities, and temperature records.
Coordinate with production, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
Follow food safety protocols, PPE guidelines, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.
Assist in training staff on proper cold storage handling and safety procedures.
Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by the immediate superior.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or equivalent
Technical diploma or certification in Refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field preferred (e.g., TESDA National Certificate II (NC II) or higher in RAC Servicing).
At least 1–2 years of experience in cold storage, refrigeration, or HVAC maintenance (preferably in food manufacturing or seafood facilities)
Experience with industrial refrigerated systems and air-conditioning units
Strong technical knowledge in refrigeration, HVAC systems, and cold storage operations
Ability to read and understand technical manuals and electrical diagrams
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
Ability to work effectively in cold temperatures for extended periods
Good communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable working in cold or freezing environments
