• Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently or in a team.
• Technical certification or vocational training in machining/CNC is highly desirable.

About the role

Steelwell Industrial Hardware (Phils.) Corporation is seeking skilled CNC Lathe Technicians and Machining Center Technicians to join our growing manufacturing team in Lipa City, Batangas. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our precision machining operations. As a CNC Lathe Technician or Machining Center Technician, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and optimising our computer numerical control (CNC) equipment to produce high-quality industrial components. This position is essential to maintaining our production schedules, ensuring product quality, and supporting the technical excellence that defines our company.

What you'll be doing

• Operating and programming CNC lathe machines and machining centres to manufacture precision components according to technical specifications and drawings

• Setting up machine tools, including installing cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding devices with precision and attention to detail

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and computer-aided design (CAD) files to ensure accurate machining operations

• Monitoring machine performance during production runs, making real-time adjustments to speed, feed rates, and depth of cut to maintain quality and efficiency

• Conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance

• Performing quality inspections of finished components using precision measuring instruments such as micrometres, calipers, and gauge blocks

• Documenting production data, machine parameters, and quality metrics in accordance with company procedures and industry standards

• Collaborating with production supervisors, engineers, and other team members to resolve technical issues and improve machining processes

• Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace

What we're looking for

• Proven experience operating CNC lathe machines and/or machining centres in a manufacturing environment

• Strong knowledge of CNC programming and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files

• Proficiency with precision measuring tools and quality control standards

• Solid understanding of machining processes, including turning, milling, boring, and threading operations

• Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work consistently

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Physical capability to perform the duties of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting materials

• Technical certification or vocational training in machining, CNC operations, or a related field is highly desirable

• Experience with machine maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred
