Job summary

apwtech is seeking a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to manage and optimize multi-cloud environments. The role focuses on high availability, performance, and security of mission-critical systems, with a strong emphasis on automation and DevOps practices.

You will collaborate with SRE partners and cross-functional teams, act as escalation point for user support, and lead projects to drive technical excellence across cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 3+ years on AWS with hands-on experience in another public cloud (Azure / GCP / Alibaba).
• Proven experience integrating DevOps and CI/CD across public, private, or hybrid clouds.
• Experience with DevOps tools (Git, GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Artifactory) and deploying with Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience in technical customer success and systems support.
• AWS or other relevant cloud certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high availability, performance, security, and efficiency of mission-critical systems.
• Collaborate with SRE partners and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Act as escalation point for user support, leading investigations and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to process documentation, reporting, data analysis, and automation initiatives.
• Provide solution recommendations to improve cloud systems and operations.
• Serve as SME in cloud platforms, influencing operational strategies.
• Spearhead engineering projects to drive technical excellence.
