Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to guide AWS cloud journeys for diverse clients. The role emphasizes governance, automation, security, and scalable architectures across hybrid environments.

You will lead project teams, craft migration plans, and deliver cloud-native solutions while collaborating with global teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud architecture or closely related field
• Minimum 2 years in leadership, management, architect, owner, or coordinator roles
• Experience leading teams of five or more
• Exposure to at least two full project cycles or multiple projects at different development stages
• Extensive knowledge of AWS Cloud and other cloud domains
• Ability to deliver complex AWS or hybrid cloud solutions
• Strong understanding of private, public, and hybrid cloud models, networking, workload types, migration strategies
• Experience with enterprise applications, IT services, software engineering, compliance, security, and IT operations
• Strong ability to communicate technical solutions to business audiences
• Proficient English (B2+)
• AWS certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist clients throughout their AWS cloud journey by collecting requirements, analyzing cost efficiency, and preparing business cases
• Evaluate current cloud infrastructures, review AWS deployments, identify areas for enhancement, and provide actionable recommendations
• Create integrated strategies for AWS cloud transformation, covering governance, automation, security, deployment, and ongoing operations
• Develop AWS architectural solutions to support migration, assess application and IT service portfolios, and outline plans for migration, transformation, and automation
• Deliver AWS-native solutions by leveraging the platform’s broad service capabilities
• Design and implement cloud-agnostic microservices architectures using Kubernetes, Pivotal, and other services
• Lead clients through technical and organizational changes during Cloud and DevOps initiatives
• Serve as an AWS specialist, sharing expertise on architecture, governance, scalability, security, operations, and cost control

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in cloud architecture or a closely related field
• Minimum of 2 years in leadership, management, architect, owner, or coordinator positions
• At least 1 year of experience managing teams of five or more people
• Involvement in at least two full project cycles or participation in several projects at different development stages
• Extensive knowledge of AWS Cloud and other cloud architecture domains
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex AWS or hybrid cloud solutions
• Advanced understanding of private, public, and hybrid cloud models, networking, workload types, migration strategies, and related tools
• Practical experience with enterprise applications, IT services, software engineering, compliance, security, and IT operations
• Strong understanding of cloud design patterns, operational models, and cost management, with the ability to apply or recommend best practices
• Ability to communicate innovative and effective technical solutions, gain client approval, and achieve project goals
• Excellent communication skills, able to make technical concepts clear to business audiences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient English skills, both written and spoken, at B2 level or higher
