Job summary

Prime Technology Specialist Incorporated is seeking a Cloud Engineer to deploy and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, compliance, and cost optimization. The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions.

Responsibilities include IaC implementation with Terraform/CloudFormation/Pulumi, CI/CD integration, and client-facing guidance on cloud support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 3+ years of related experience in Public and/or Private Cloud Projects/Business.
• Experience with traditional IT equipment technologies (Servers, Storage, Network Devices).
• Cloud-related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure to support business applications and services.
• Ensure security best practices and cloud governance compliance.
• Monitor cloud systems using native cloud tools and dashboards.
• Troubleshoot cloud, networking, and production issues; perform RCA.
• Optimize infrastructure cost, performance, and reliability.
• Familiarize IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or Pulumi and integrate with CI/CD.
• Guide clients/partners on obtaining cloud technical support and manage service requests.
• Support pre-sales with technical solution development and POC opportunities.

Job Description: (Actual Duties and Responsibilities)

1. Deploy and Manage Cloud Infrastructure
   • Ensuring smooth operation of cloud infrastructure deployment, implementing best practices, and optimizing resources to support business applications and services.
   • Executing the deployment of Public and/or Private Cloud Deployments based from Solution Proposal and Plan.
   • Evaluate cloud services based on workload requirements, scalability needs, and cost considerations.
   • Conduct regular DR drills and failover tests to validate system resilience and ensure operational readiness.
   • Implement distributed architectures leveraging multi-region or multi-zone deployments to minimize downtime.
2. Ensure compliance, security best practices, and cloud governance policies based from industry standard.
   • Assess compliance in security requirements, vulnerability assessments, and policy enforcement using tools like CSPM or SIEM that are available in Cloud.
   • Collaborate with governance teams to define tagging standards, resource naming conventions, and access controls.
3. Monitor Cloud systems using Cloud Native tools.
   • Utilize real-time Cloud dashboards and Cloud alerting rules to ensure proactive detection of anomalies and performance issues.
4. Troubleshoot common cloud, networking, and production issues.
   • Perform root-cause analysis (RCA) and document corrective actions to prevent recurrence of incidents.
   • Coordinate cross-functional incident response activities and communication during high-severity outages.
5. Optimize infrastructure cost, performance, and reliability.
   • Perform periodic cost audits and rightsizing activities using cloud cost-management tools guided by optimization frameworks.
   • Leverage autoscaling, caching, and performance-tuning techniques to ensure efficient resource utilization.
6. Familiarity in Design and implement IaC (Infrastructure as Code) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or Pulumi
   • Study and reusable IaC templates available in Terraform Registries.
   • Integrate IaC workflows with CI/CD pipelines to enable automated, version-controlled infrastructure deployments.
7. Familiarize Cloud business organizations and processes
   • Guide Clients or Partner on how to correctly Obtain Cloud technical support
   • Actively respond to, track, and manage partner and their customer requirements and service requests (technical/non-technical), and push customers to resolve customer requirements as soon as possible.
8. Project Technical Solution Development
   • Technical and Service Communication Support with Pre-Sales Team
   • Support the SA with POC opportunities.

Position requirements:

• 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related fields.
• 2. At least 3 years of related experience in Public and/or Private Cloud Projects/Business
• 3. Experienced in Traditional IT Equipment Technologies (Servers, Storage, Network Devices ; All 3 is a plus)
• 4. Certifications related to cloud or others ICT certificate is an advantage
• 5. Be able to respond 24/7 when a major accident occurs.
• 6. Have excellent communication and problem analysis capabilities. Be able to respond to and communicate with customers and partners in a timely manner.
• 7. Have a good sense of service and are willing to engage in technical service work. Self-motivation, fast learning, and strong problem-solving capabilities;
• 8. Have good document presentation skills and be good at summarizing and outputting research conclusions.
• 9. Able to work under high pressure, a quick learner with a passion for cloud technology.
• 10. Have a strong sense of teamwork and ability to achieve good mutual cooperation with the team.
