Job summary

Optum Philippines is seeking a Clinical Consultant to provide clinical and operational support as a U.S. healthcare SME, guiding case management, utilization management, coverage determinations, and inpatient care processes.

The role develops training programs, collaborates across teams, and delivers both in-person and online learning, using U.S. policies, Milliman/InterQual guidelines, and clinical resources.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted US RN license in at least one state.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
• Active Philippine RN license.
• Minimum 3 years’ clinical nurse experience in U.S. healthcare system.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and U.S. healthcare processes.
• Proficient in creating PowerPoint presentations and Excel documents.
• Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills.
• 1–2 years’ clinical BPO experience in Inpatient Clinical support or Case Management (preferred).
• 1–2 years’ experience training Registered Nurses (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develops clinical training programs and curricula.
• Delivers training via in-person and online platforms.
• Collaborates with operations to support new business needs and transitions.
• Reviews evaluative data to drive improvements and new initiatives.
• Keeps curriculum up to date with changes and feedback.
• Mentors and coaches learners across clinical teams.
• Coordinates training timelines with department leadership.
• Supports implementation of business strategies through education.
