We are looking for experienced and strategic Clinical Director to lead and oversee clinical programs supporting our healthcare BPO operations. This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring clinical excellence, operational effectiveness, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and exceptional patient and client experiences.
The Clinical Director will provide clinical leadership across multiple programs, working closely with operations, quality, training, compliance, workforce management, and client stakeholders to ensure that clinical services are delivered safely, consistently, and in accordance with applicable standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic clinical leadership and oversight for healthcare BPO clinical programs.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve clinical policies, workflows, protocols, and operating standards.
- Oversee clinical teams and leaders responsible for patient-facing and clinical support programs.
- Ensure clinical programs meet established quality, safety, productivity, service-level, and patient experience objectives.
- Partner with Operations leadership to integrate clinical requirements into day-to-day business processes.
- Establish and monitor clinical performance metrics, dashboards, quality indicators, and program KPIs.
- Review clinical trends, audit findings, escalations, and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead clinical quality and performance-improvement initiatives across programs.
- Ensure appropriate clinical escalation processes are established and consistently followed.
- Collaborate with Compliance and Quality teams to support regulatory, accreditation, privacy, and client-specific requirements.
- Provide clinical guidance during complex patient, provider, or client escalations.
- Develop and maintain clinical training, competency, and continuing education requirements.
- Partner with Training and Learning teams to ensure clinical content is accurate, current, and aligned with program requirements.
- Participate in client governance meetings, business reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
- Build strong relationships with healthcare clients, providers, internal stakeholders, and executive leadership.
- Support the launch and transition of new clinical programs, including clinical workflow design, staffing models, training, quality frameworks, and readiness assessments.
- Evaluate clinical program performance and recommend changes to improve efficiency, quality, patient outcomes, and client satisfaction.
- Lead, coach, and develop clinical managers, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals.
- Promote a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, continuous improvement, and patient-centered service.
Qualifications
- Must be a college graduate
- Must have prior leadership experience in a healthcare BPO environment, with demonstrated responsibility for managing teams and clinical operations.
- Experience working on clinical healthcare accounts is required.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple clinical programs, teams, or service lines.
- Strong understanding of clinical quality, patient safety, healthcare workflows, and performance management.
- Proven experience developing and implementing clinical policies, procedures, workflows, and quality programs.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance, patient privacy, regulatory requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Experience working with U.S. healthcare clients, providers, payers, or healthcare organizations is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop clinical leaders and high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder-management, and executive-level reporting skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience using data, reporting, and performance metrics to drive operational and clinical decisions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare BPO environment.
- Strong understanding of clinical KPIs, quality metrics, service-level requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
