About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Clinic Cashier to join our team at 1421 MEDICAL SERVICES in Taguig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in our clinic's operations by managing financial transactions and providing exceptional customer service at the point of care. As Clinic Cashier, you will be responsible for processing patient payments, managing the cash register, and ensuring smooth financial operations whilst maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanour with all patients and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Processes patient payments for medical consultations, laboratory tests, radiology/ diagnostic procedures, rehab services and other purchases accurately and efficiently

• Operates the cash register with proficiency, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly

• Reconciles daily cash and electronic payments, maintaining accurate financial records

• Issues receipts and provides patients with itemised billing information in a clear and professional manner

• Handles cash other payment methods securely and in accordance with clinic policies

• Manages patient inquiries regarding billing, pricing and payment options with courtesy and patience

• Maintains confidentiality of patient financial information and comply with data protection regulations

• Collaborates with medical and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow and service delivery

• Monitors inventory of receipt paper, payment processing supplies and other cashier-related materials

• Reports discrepancies or unusual transactions to clinic management promptly

• Maintains a clean and organised cashier station at all times

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification

• Proven experience working as a cashier, ideally in a healthcare, retail or customer service environment

• Proficiency in operating cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems

• Strong numeracy skills with the ability to handle financial transactions accurately

• Excellent customer service skills with a professional and courteous demeanour

• Outstanding attention to detail and organisational abilities

• Honesty, integrity and reliability in handling financial matters

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and cash handling procedures

• Familiarity with healthcare billing or medical clinic operations is preferred but not essential

• Excellent communication skills in English and Filipino

• Willingness to learn and adapt to clinic systems and procedures
