Job summary

Bureau Veritas is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer with proven experience in solar energy projects to join our dynamic team in Makati. The ideal candidate will plan, design and oversee civil works for solar PV installations, ensuring compliance with standards and project timelines.

This role requires readiness for immediate deployment to active project sites, strong knowledge of structural design, and the ability to collaborate with electrical engineers, contractors and project managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC or equivalent).
• 4–5 years of experience in civil works, with at least 3 years in solar PV projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD, or similar design software.
• Familiarity with local building codes, renewable energy regulations, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage civil engineering aspects of solar PV projects from site preparation to commissioning.
• Conduct site assessments, topographical surveys, and soil testing coordination.
• Design and review structural foundations for solar panel mounting systems (ground-mounted or rooftop).
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of civil and electrical works.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design, safety, and quality standards.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Ensure timely reporting and documentation of project progress and issues.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.


• Willingness to travel and be deployed to project sites on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with utility-scale solar farms or commercial rooftop installations.


• Knowledge of environmental and permitting processes related to solar projects.


• Project Management experience or certification is a plus.
