Job summary

Join Bureau Veritas S.A. as Lead HSSE professional for solar PV projects in the Philippines.

You will manage health, safety, and environmental aspects across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations, ensuring alignment with BV standards, ISO 45001, and a strong safety culture. You will develop site HSSE plans, conduct risk assessments, lead audits, and coordinate training and KPI tracking to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field; professional safety certification (NEBOSH IGC, OSHA 30-hr, IOSH, CSP).
• 3-5+ years of on-site HSE experience in solar PV or large-scale renewable EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001/14001 implementation and Bureau Veritas HSSE policies.

About the Role

Lead and manage health, safety, security, and environment (HSSE) aspects throughout the lifecycle of solar PV projects - design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations - ensuring compliance with Bureau Veritas standards, ISO 45001, and strong safety culture alignment.

Key Responsibilities

1. HSSE Planning & Risk Management

• Develop and implement site-specific HSSE Plans aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and Bureau Veritas policies.
• Conduct hazard identification (HAZID) and risk assessments for electrical work, work-at-height, and heavy equipment activities.
• Oversee subcontractor prequalification and review safety performance before onboarding.

2. Compliance, Audits & Certification

• Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and Bureau Veritas HSSE policies.
• Facilitate regular audits and inspections; address non-conformities promptly.
• Support external certification and reporting efforts.

3. Training & Culture Building

• Deliver safety induction and ongoing training in electrical safety, fall protection, lockout/tagout, and PPE.
• Lead toolbox talks and promote Bureau Veritas' safety culture.

4. Incident Management & Emergency Readiness

• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions; prepare reports.
• Develop and conduct emergency response drills in coordination with project teams.

5. HSSE Performance Monitoring

• Maintain accurate HSSE records (inspections, incidents, training); track KPIs and trends.
• Report performance to project leadership for continuous improvement.

6. Coordination with Bureau Veritas & Stakeholders

• Act as point of contact for Bureau Veritas inspections, vendor audits, and certification assessments.
• Liaise with Bureau Veritas technical centers and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.

Qualifications
