Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Civil Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated professional experience in civil design, drafting, and/or modelling.
• Strong AutoCAD skills; experience with Civil 3D and/or 12D Model is desirable.
• Experience on Australian civil projects and familiarity with Australian standards is highly desirable.
• Experience coordinating designs across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Ability to prepare clear and accurate technical drawings and documentation.
• Experience communicating with clients and third-party stakeholders is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil drawings, layouts, and design documentation.
• Produce and maintain accurate 2D drafting and 3D civil models.
• Support civil design activities using relevant CAD and modelling software.
• Prepare materials take-offs and other design-related information as required.
• Coordinate and interface with other engineering and design disciplines to ensure designs are properly integrated.
• Liaise professionally with clients, third parties, and other project stakeholders when required.
• Review drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with project requirements.
• Support the preparation, management, and filing of engineering and project documentation.
• Apply relevant Australian standards, codes, and project requirements when preparing designs and documentation.
• Assist with design revisions and updates based on engineering, client, and interdisciplinary feedback.
• Communicate effectively within an English-speaking project environment.
• Support project requirements and deadlines, including overtime when reasonably required by the project.

Job Description: Civil Designer

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have strong civil drafting and modelling skills, with preference for candidates who have worked on Australian civil projects and are familiar with Australian standards, codes, and requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Civil Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
