Job summary

Staff Domain Inc. seeks a Full Stack Developer to design, build and maintain responsive web apps, e-commerce platforms and internal tools. You will implement AI-enabled automation, optimize performance and drive data-driven decisions across front-end and back-end systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial full stack software development experience.

The Full Stack Developer (Software Developer) supports the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the organisation’s websites, e-commerce platforms, software applications, integrations and internal technology solutions to improve business efficiency, data management and decision-making. A key component of the role is to explore and support the practical application of AI, automation and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to automate repetitive processes, improve workflows, access information / reporting, enhance customer and employee experiences, and deliver measurable business value. Working across front-end and back-end development, the role collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business architect requirements, and translate them into practical, scalable and user-focused technology, automation and AI enabled solutions, while contributing to the organisation’s technology roadmap.

Key Accountabilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain scalable web applications across front-end interfaces, back-end services, APIs, databases and system integrations.
• Assist with the development and enhancement of web-based applications, including the Shopify storefront and internal business applications.
• Develop and support integrations across platforms including Shopify, Cin7 Core, Xero, HubSpot, Klaviyo and other business applications, ensuring reliable data flow between systems.
• Design, develop and maintain SQL databases, tables, queries, stored procedures and data structures, with a focus on data integrity, performance and scalability.
• Work hands-on within an AI-driven development framework, using modern AI development tools to improve coding efficiency, problem solving and development workflows. Validate, test and productionise
• AI-generated code to ensure quality, security and maintainability.
• Develop and maintain automated reports, dashboards and data visualisations, translating business reporting requirements into practical and user-friendly technology solutions.
• Identify repetitive, manual or inefficient processes and implement opportunities for automation, system integration and AI-enabled improvements.
• Optimise application and database performance through code refactoring, query optimisation, performance tuning and scalable development practices.
• Test software solutions, troubleshoot and resolve bugs, integration issues, data-flow problems and other technical issues.
• Work hands-on within an AI-driven development framework, validating and productionising LLM generated code
• Work closely with product, leadership and business teams to understand requirements, translate customer needs into practical solutions, and deliver well-scoped, high-quality releases.
• Contribute to coding standards, code reviews, technical documentation, development processes and practical AI-assisted engineering practices.
• Participate in sprint planning, development, testing, deployment and continuous improvement activities within an agile environment.
• Maintain accurate and appropriate technical documentation covering applications, integrations, databases, processes and system changes.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, development practices and AI capabilities, identifying opportunities to improve the organisation's technology capability and deliver measurable business value.

Requirements

What You Bring

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Web Development or a related discipline.
• 5 plus years of commercial full Stack software development experience with strong experience with Flutter/Dart, Python, Next.js, React, and Node.js
• Demonstrated experience in full-stack web development, including front-end, back-end, technologies, APIs, databases and integrations.
• Strong practical experience with SQL, database architecture and relational databases, including database design, query development, optimisation and data management.
• Hands-on experience building, maintaining and working with AI APIs, LLMs, and AI-assisted development workflows and third-party integrations.
• Solid DevOps and infrastructure skills, including Linux, NGINX, and CI/CD pipelines
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools to support coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Ability to identify practical opportunities to use AI and automation to improve business processes and efficiencies.
• Highly autonomous with strong problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills
• Experience delivering consumer or B2B software used by real customers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively with product, leadership and business teams.
• Comfortable working in an agile environment and contributing to sprint planning, code reviews and continuous improvement.
