Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Chief Pega Developer to lead design-to-deployment execution and steer scalable enterprise delivery on the Pega platform. You will guide implementation decisions, drive technical direction across the team, and partner with stakeholders to solve complex issues.

Responsibilities include architecture definition, code reviews, and delivering iterative software across multiple releases while maintaining security and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT experience with Pega design and build of reusable enterprise rules.
• CLSA certification is required.
• Knowledge of Agile, SDLC, and iterative development methodologies.
• Hands-on Pega framework experience (Customer Service, Decisioning/Marketing, or CLM) in finance.
• Strong web tech: CSS, JavaScript, Servlets/JSP; solid OOP, SOA and RESTful concepts.
• CI/CD configuration and release management experience.
• Experience with Pega Cloud (AWS) or cloud-hosted solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design-to-deployment on Pega platform for scalable enterprise delivery.

• Lead code reviews and resolve complex technical issues.

We are looking for a Chief Pega Developer to lead design-to-deployment execution and steer scalable enterprise delivery on the Pega platform. You will guide implementation decisions, drive technical direction across the team, and partner with stakeholders to solve complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team through code reviews and guide the prevention and resolution of technical issues
• Maintain broad and deep expertise across multiple technology areas, including relevant processes, methodologies, standards, products, and frameworks
• Define and document architecture, and capture and record non-functional (architectural) requirements
• Estimate effort and shape technical solutions to meet delivery goals
• Configure key design approaches, patterns, and complex product capabilities
• Ensure the security of all system applications
• Build shared and reusable enterprise rules and workflow components in Pega Process Rules Commander
• Create detailed technical specifications and solution architecture documentation
• Present problem statements and recommended solutions to stakeholders across complex IT, technical, and business topics
• Plan, scope, and deliver work using iterative software development lifecycles across multiple release cycles

Requirements

• Extensive background with Pega 7.x and 8.x across 7+ years of IT experience, including leading the design and build of shared/reusable enterprise rules and workflow components
• Certified Pega Lead System Architect (CLSA) certification
• Proven knowledge of process and development methodologies such as Agile, SDLC, and Iterative, plus object-oriented analysis and design and system integration skills
• Hands-on experience with at least one Pega strategic framework (Customer Service, Decisioning and Marketing, or CLM) within the financial services domain
• Practical experience with web technologies including CSS, JavaScript, Servlets and JSP
• Deep understanding of OOP concepts, design patterns, SOA and RESTful concepts, and messaging (pub-sub and point-to-point concepts)
• Solid experience with CI/CD configuration and release management
• Exposure to Pega Cloud (AWS) or third-party Cloud-hosted solutions
• Strong capability with analysis techniques and methodologies
• Proficiency in architecture design methodologies needed to support the Pega 7x / 8x platform
• Hands-on experience with RDBMS tools such as Postgres, Oracle or MSSQL, knowledge of SQL commands (PL/SQL, T-SQL), and proficiency in database performance tuning
• English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher
