Job summary

InterProminent Agency Inc. seeks a Chief Engineer to head the Engine Department aboard our vessel, reporting to the Master.

You will oversee safe operation, maintenance, and reliability of all engineering systems while leading the engineering team and ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations. You must possess a Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency, STCW and flags endorsements, extensive marine engineering experience, and strong leadership and troubleshooting abilities to

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency.
• Valid STCW certification and required Flag State endorsements are essential.
• Extensive experience in marine engineering and machinery maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of PMS, bunkering procedures, and engineering operations.
• Deep understanding of SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, and MLC 2006.
• Proven leadership and technical troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe operation, maintenance, and reliability of all engineering systems onboard.
• Lead the engineering team and ensure compliance with company policies and international maritime regulations.
• Manage and improve engine department performance and maintenance planning.
• Ensure readiness for audits and regulatory inspections.
• Mentor and develop engineering personnel.
• Coordinate with master and other departments to ensure voyage safety and efficiency.
