Petron Car Care Center - Bauan Batangas Branch is seeking an experienced Chief Automotive Mechanic / Workshop Foreman. You will lead the workshop team, diagnose vehicle concerns, supervise repairs, and uphold high workmanship standards.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. Responsibilities include guiding technicians, scheduling, quality checks, and customer communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hands-on automotive repair experience; 5+ years preferred for senior candidates.
• Experience as Chief Mechanic / Shop Foreman or similar supervisory position is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of gasoline and/or diesel vehicle systems.
• Ability to train and guide junior mechanics and lead a workshop team.
• Willing to work on-site in Bauan, Batangas.

CHIEF AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC / WORKSHOP FOREMAN

Car Care Center (CCC) – Bauan, Batangas

We are looking for an experienced, dependable and technically skilled Chief Automotive Mechanic / Workshop Foreman to lead our workshop team.

The ideal candidate is not only an experienced mechanic but also a leader, problem solver and good communicator who can properly diagnose vehicle concerns, supervise repairs and maintain high standards of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Workshop Leadership

• Lead, supervise and guide mechanics and helpers.

• Assign jobs according to technician skills and workload.

• Monitor work progress and workshop productivity.

• Provide technical guidance and training to junior mechanics.

• Maintain discipline, teamwork and professional workshop standards.

Diagnosis & Troubleshooting

• Perform systematic diagnosis of mechanical vehicle problems.

• Handle difficult or recurring vehicle concerns.

• Use diagnostic scanners, testing equipment and proper troubleshooting procedures.

• Verify the actual cause of the problem before recommending replacement of parts.

Mechanical Repair
Must be experienced or highly familiar with:

• Preventive Maintenance / PMS

• Engine repair and troubleshooting

• Brake systems

• Steering and suspension

• Underchassis

• Cooling systems

• Transmission-related diagnosis

• Fuel systems

• Battery and charging systems

• Automotive electrical troubleshooting

• Sensors and electronic vehicle systems

• Diagnostic scanning

Experience in both gasoline and diesel vehicles is highly preferred.

Quality Control

• Inspect completed repairs before vehicle release.

• Perform or supervise final testing/road testing when required.

• Ensure work is properly completed and the original customer concern has been addressed.

• Minimize back jobs and repeat repairs.

Customer & Management Communication

• Clearly explain technical findings to management and service staff.

• Help prepare repair recommendations and parts requirements.

• Communicate professionally with customers when technical explanation is necessary.

• Provide realistic repair timelines and recommendations.

Workshop Management

• Ensure proper use and care of tools and equipment.

• Maintain workshop cleanliness, safety and organization.

• Help monitor frequently used spare parts and workshop supplies.

• Maintain accurate service and repair records.

• Support implementation of preventive maintenance and workshop procedures.
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of solid hands-on automotive repair experience; 5+ years preferred for senior candidates

• Previous experience as Chief Mechanic, Senior Mechanic, Shop Foreman, Team Leader, Master Technician or similar supervisory position is highly preferred

• Strong knowledge of gasoline and/or diesel vehicle systems

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic ability

• Familiarity with automotive electrical troubleshooting is highly preferred

• Experience using automotive diagnostic scanners is an advantage

• Strong knowledge of brakes, suspension, steering, engine, cooling and underchassis systems

• Good leadership and team-management skills

• Good verbal communication skills

• Able to explain technical issues clearly and professionally

• Responsible, organized and quality-conscious

• Able to train and guide junior mechanics

• Able to work independently on difficult vehicle concerns

• TESDA Automotive Servicing NC II/NC III or related certification is an advantage but not mandatory for highly experienced candidates

• Willing to work on-site in Bauan, Batangas
