Job summary

MC GROUP is seeking a detail-oriented Chemical Engineer to ensure agrochemical products meet approved specs, supplier commitments, and Philippine regulatory requirements before release for distribution.

The role involves overseeing incoming quality inspections, coordinating lab testing, evaluating product compliance, and maintaining accurate technical documentation across COAs, SDSs, and TDSs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Licensed Chemical Engineer is preferred.
• Knowledge of QA, QC, lab testing, chemical handling and technical documentation is required.
• Familiarity with fertilizers, agricultural chemicals, and related products is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, QMS, CAPA and supplier quality management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Incoming Quality Control: Inspect and evaluate incoming and imported agrochemical products for compliance with specifications.
• Laboratory Coordination: Coordinate with third-party labs for sampling and testing; review results.
• Quality Assurance: Implement QC procedures to ensure product safety and quality.
• Supplier Quality Management: Review supplier quality documents and monitor compliance.
• Non-Conformance & CAPA: Investigate deviations and perform root-cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Regulatory Documentation: Review COAs, SDSs, TDSs and lab reports for compliance.
• Warehouse Quality: Coordinate with warehouse for proper handling and storage quality.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain quality inspection records and supplier evaluations.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with Procurement, Sales, Warehouse, and Management on product quality.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Chemical Engineer to ensure that all incoming and imported agrochemical products meet the company's approved specifications, supplier commitments, quality standards, and applicable Philippine regulatory requirements before release for distribution.

The successful candidate will oversee incoming quality inspections, coordinate laboratory testing, evaluate product compliance, manage supplier quality concerns, and maintain accurate technical and quality documentation for the company's agrochemical products.

Key Responsibilities

• Incoming Quality Control: Inspect and evaluate incoming and imported agrochemical products, including fertilizers, pesticides, biostimulants, and other agricultural chemical products, to ensure compliance with approved specifications.
• Laboratory Coordination: Third-party laboratories for product sampling, testing, and analysis; review and interpret laboratory results.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure product consistency, safety, and compliance with established quality standards.
• Supplier Quality Management: Review supplier quality documents, monitor supplier compliance, and coordinate with suppliers regarding product specifications and quality concerns.
• Non-Conformance and Quality Investigation: Investigate product deviations, discrepancies, and quality complaints; conduct root-cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Regulatory and Technical Documentation: Review Certificates of Analysis (COAs), Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), Technical Data Sheets (TDSs), laboratory reports, and other relevant technical documents to support regulatory compliance.
• Warehouse and Storage Quality: Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure proper product handling, storage conditions, labeling, segregation, and preservation of product quality.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate quality inspection records, laboratory results, supplier evaluations, non-conformance reports, and other quality-related documents.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Procurement, Sales, Warehouse, suppliers, third-party laboratories, regulatory personnel, and Management on product quality matter.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Licensed Chemical Engineer is preferred.
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), laboratory testing, chemical handling, and technical documentation. Familiarity with fertilizers, agricultural chemicals, biostimulants, soil conditioners, pesticides, or related chemical products is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, Quality Management Systems (QMS), root-cause analysis, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), and supplier quality management is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret COAs, SDSs, TDSs, laboratory reports, and chemical or product specifications.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple quality-related tasks.
• Willing to coordinate with suppliers, third-party laboratories, regulatory personnel, warehouse teams, Procurement, Sales, and Management.

Monday to Saturday (8am to 5pm)
