Job summary

SM Hypermarket is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead branch accounting teams across Cebu and nearby Central Visayas branches. You will oversee daily accounting activities, ensure policy compliance, and consolidate financial and management reports for senior leadership.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA, a Bachelor's in Accountancy, and 2–4 years of supervisory experience in accounting or finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.
• 2-4 years of supervisory or managerial experience in Accounting, Finance, or related functions.
• Strong leadership, people management, and coaching skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Willing to work following a branch schedule setup.
• Willing to work on-site in Cebu branches or other nearby SM Hypermarket branches within Central Visayas.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise branch accounting teams to achieve operational and financial objectives.
• Oversee daily accounting activities and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Consolidate, analyze, and present accurate financial reports and management reports to senior leadership in a timely manner.
• Safeguard company assets by implementing internal controls and audit procedures.
• Coordinate with branch and corporate departments to support strategic business decisions.
