Job summary

South Star Drug is seeking a CCTV Security Technician to monitor and review footage, install and maintain CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and related equipment across multiple company locations. You will respond to system issues, perform corrective maintenance, and retrieve video recordings for investigations.

The role requires strong analytical and reporting skills, willingness to conduct fieldwork and travel as needed, and the ability to ensure compliance with data privacy policies and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Criminology required.
• Must be a Registered Criminologist (RCrim).
• At least 1 year CCTV troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems, DVR/NVR, IP cameras, and basic networking.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Willing to conduct fieldwork and travel to different locations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review CCTV footage for security and operational concerns.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and related equipment.
• Respond to reported system issues and perform corrective maintenance.
• Retrieve and preserve video recordings for investigations and incident reports.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of surveillance systems.
• Assist in security investigations and provide technical support as needed.
• Prepare maintenance, service, and incident reports.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies and data privacy requirements.
