Job summary

AfterQuery is hiring statisticians and experimentation experts as contractors to author and grade causal inference and A/B testing scenarios used in frontier AI model evaluations. You’ll design realistic statistics scenarios, write reasoning, and assess model outputs for rigor and interpretation.

The role is remote, fully async, with a minimum of 10 hours per week. Compensation ranges from $80 to $150 per hour, paid weekly via Stripe, and scales with experience on ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in statistics or biostatistics or closely related quantitative field.
• 2+ years of applied statistics or experimentation experience.
• Depth in experimental design, causal inference, or A/B testing.
• Fluency in R or Python for statistical analysis.
• Able to commit at least 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Author realistic statistics scenarios from study design through analysis and interpretation.
• Write reference answers with the statistical reasoning behind each modeling choice.
• Grade model output for methodological soundness and correct interpretation.
• Flag analyses that read rigorous but draw invalid conclusions.
